A young man is in critical condition after drowning in a pond within the Regent Park police station area. With the assistance of local residents and the prompt response of the rescue team, he was pulled out of the water and immediately taken to Bangur Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Police said his condition remains critical.
According to local sources, three friends were standing beside the pond in the afternoon when one of them accidentally fell into the water and began to drown. After receiving information about the incident, the Fire Department's disaster management team and personnel from Regent Park police station reached the spot and carried out the rescue operation.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are also examining whether the young man was under the influence of alcohol at the time he fell into the pond. The exact circumstances leading to the incident are being investigated.
